This is the classic Italian tomato bread soup (SDJ style)! Pappa al pomodoro is a thick Tuscan bread soup typically prepared with fresh tomatoes, bread, olive oil, garlic, basil, and various other fresh ingredients, It tastes super fresh, with simple ingredients that shine. The chopped tomato and toasted bread add a great mouth-feel and give this soup a velvety finish. It pairs very nicely with a fresh green salad or grilled cheese sandwich. For those that have enjoyed our Rustic Tomato Bisque but have wished for a bit more, slightly "chunkier" texture, you will LOVE this soup!
